Helping Low Country Golden Retrievers Since 1991

Rosie, female, age 10

RosieI was adopted not long ago but my new dad was terribly allergic to me and tearfully he had to give me up. I know he loved me a lot and the Rescue promised I would find a wonderful home. My original story is that  I was left at the shelter because my owners were moving and didn't want to take me. At my age the shelter told them they would put me to death but they apparently didn't care and left me there anyway. Thankfully the shelter called the Rescue and they came and picked me up right away. I am up to date on my vaccines, spayed and on heartworm preventative. I am layed back in the house but love to go on walks and play on the beach.

Peaches, female, age 8

PeachesI was picked up by animal control as a stray. The shelter called the Rescue to see if they would come and get me because my time was up which of course they came right away.  I need to gain about 15 lbs or more, I am pretty much skin and bones right now. I am heartworm positive and will start my treatment as soon as I have gained some weight and strong enough. My foster mom is taking good care of me and is giving me a lot of love that I haven't had before. Thanks to the Rescue I will have a new home soon that will give me the love and attention a golden should have.
