Buzzy, male, age 1
Hi there, my name is Buzzy. I found myself in a high kill shelter because I was given up by my owner because he had some changes in his life and couldn't take care of me anymore. With the help our guardian angel that helps the golden get out of this shelter I am now in a wonderful foster home and getting lots of love and attention. I am now up to date on my vaccines, heartworm negative and neutered. I am a sweet boy and can't wait to find my forever home.
Jake, male, age 1
My dad asked the Rescue to find me a new home because he was working so much he didn't have the time to devote to me. I am housebroken, up to date on my vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative. I love to play ball and love the water. I would really like a home with kids or another dog to play with.Jake has an adoption pending.
Duffer, male, age 13

You can tell from my picture in my “heyday” I wasn’t a duffer. You can bet that I was one sporty guy! I’m here to tell you how wonderful the Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue is and all their wonderful volunteers and other “nice” rescues that come to the aid of each other in times of need! After all, everyone’s here “for the dogs” aren’t we! I am one needy guy. I was found as a stray in the mountains; but everyone who knows the area knows who left me alone. I sure am not running much on these poor ole arthritic paws! But thank goodness for the Good Samaritan who saved me from the cement floor and a shelter ER (and that ain’t Emergency Room for sure!). Because of her wonderful networking and all the volunteers who helped transport me and groomed me along the way, I am now in a foster home where I am going to “live large” on love and hamburger! And I walked outside today (thanks to some pain pills) and smelled new mowed grass and pluff mud. Wow, there’s nothing like the Low Country and the charm of Southern hospitality. Thank you one and all.
Joey, male, age 2
I came into the Rescue because I was lost and my owners didn't come looking for me, I guess they didn't want me anymore. My foster mom is trying to get all the mats off of me and she is giving me good food to put some weight back on me. I am now neutered, up to date on my vaccines and heartworm negative. Joey has an adoption pending.
Archie, male, age 4
My owner turned me in to a high kill shelter because she just didn't like me. She had a little dog that she pampered and loved but not me, she barely fed me. I am in a foster home doing just fine now, getting fed 3 times a day to put some meat on my bones. I am learning that I am safe and how I am suppose to act in a home. I was pretty afraid at first to even step foot in the house but now I'm in and out and playing with toys. I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines and I am heartworm negative. I would love a home that would make up to all the bad treatment that I have endured for my first 4 years of life. I know the Rescue will find me a really good home with plenty of love.
Update: Archie is an incredible sweet boy. He loves to take walks and watch TV with you on the couch. He would love to have a home with another dog to play with and a stay at home mom or dad
